  This is about an hour from our house and we go here when we are in the area. The quality of the food rivals the best gastropubs in Cincinnati and the prices are very affordable. Product is locally sourced when possible and the food never disappoints. The food and service is excellent every time, and the staff is very open to substitutions of menu items. I really enjoy the house made veggie burger and the fried green beans. Seasonal Local beer is on tap and a fair amount of bottled craft beer. I wish this was closer to my home!

  The General Denver was great. The building has its quirks, but it was much more fun than staying in the usual box of a hotel. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast was more than we had expected. The Sunday brunch was fabulous, and we came back to have dinner in the restaurant. The atmosphere in the rooms was friendly and welcoming. It's great if you want an experience and not just a room for the night.
